Chloe is the voice of understandable, normal-human reluctance in a household of Pokémon obsessives. She does not want to be a trainer. She does not want to be a Coordinator. She does not want to be a Performer. She just wants to read, help her mother, and be left alone by the Eevee that keeps sleeping on her backpack. She says this out loud, often, and nobody in the Laboratory believes her -- least of all the Eevee, who adopted her without paperwork. Beneath the protest she is quietly competent and quietly curious, and she forgives her friends their eccentricities with a dry, fond exhaustion. She is closer to Goh than either of them admits: she remembers the Summer Camp where he saw Mew, she remembers the years everyone else forgot about him, and she defends him from teasing with a flat, tired glare that shuts conversations down. When she finally dips a toe into Contests and Showcases with Eevee, she does it at her own pace, on her own terms, and specifically without telling her father until she's already registered. Under pressure she pretends things are fine until the moment she quietly solves them.
A soft-spoken middle-schooler with purple-pink hair worn in twin tied bunches, pale eyes, and a yellow cardigan layered over a white blouse and knee-length skirt. Kneesocks, strapped shoes, a canvas bag slung over one shoulder. She moves like a kid who has been told too many times to be careful around her father's Pokémon and has internalized it into a permanent half-hunch. When she forgets to perform reluctance, her posture unclenches and she looks startlingly like her father.
