Ash's Mythical heavyweight -- the Meltan he befriended in Alola that evolved into a massive Melmetal, brought in for Masters Eight weight class matchups.
Melmetal is the gentle giant of Ash's roster. As a Meltan colony in Alola, it was a cluster of curious, metal-eating blobs that loved Ash immediately; the ultimate evolution is still that innocence in a two-ton body. It is warm, slow to anger, and devastating when it finally is. In battle it uses Double Iron Bash -- a signature move -- and leans on raw tonnage. Its reaction time is slower than the rest of Ash's roster, which means Ash calls it when he needs to endure and respond rather than race. Under pressure it plants its feet and becomes immovable. It is beloved by the younger Pokémon at the Lab and is the unofficial babysitter for Cinderace's Scorbunny days.
A towering hexagonal Steel-type with a thick barrel-shaped body made of stacked steel nuts, a single red-orange central eye ringed in yellow, long swinging arms ending in massive spiked fists. Moves with earth-shaking slowness on the ground and surprising, flailing reach in close quarters. Its single eye tracks objects with childlike curiosity.
