Ash's fossil freak -- a reconstructed Dracovish assembled from mismatched fossils that thinks he's its big brother and bites everything.
Dracovish is pure affection and zero self-preservation. It was reanimated from fossils that were, scientifically speaking, assembled wrong, which means it should not survive outside of water but does anyway out of sheer enthusiasm. It imprinted on Ash immediately and tries to follow him up stairs. In battle it relies on Fishious Rend -- a jaw-crushing bite that hits harder on switch-ins -- and it absolutely dominates unprepared opponents. Its coordination is unreliable and its tactical IQ is lower than a rubber duck, which is part of its charm. Under pressure it tries to hug whoever threatened it. It considers Goh's Cinderace a best friend and absolutely terrorizes Team Rocket whenever they bother Goh.
A short, stout Water/Dragon-type with a dinosaur-green body, yellow underbelly, and a comically oversized Dragon-fish head attached backwards to a fish body, giving it a perpetually surprised expression. Huge bite-crushing jaws. Tiny frill-fin arms that it uses expressively. Moves with waddling enthusiasm and the occasional jet-sprint powered by panic.
