A seven-story wooden pagoda in Violet City, home to a sect of monks who train Bellsprout and who test traveling trainers before they are allowed to challenge Falkner.
Sprout Tower is one of the oldest Johto structures still in active religious use. The monks claim the swaying central pillar is a living Bellsprout, two hundred years old. The tower's monks train their Bellsprout in the tradition of receiving rather than striking. Challengers are expected to defeat a Bellsprout team to earn the Sprout Tower approval before attempting Falkner's gym. The tower also contains a small collection of pre-Zephyr-Badge Pokémon texts that are not in any other archive.
A tall wooden pagoda the color of old tea, seven stories high, with sweeping tile eaves at each floor. A huge wooden central pillar runs the full height of the tower and sways visibly on windy days — the tower architects designed it to. Paper lanterns, tatami mats, the smell of incense. Bellsprout everywhere, lazily watching.
