A port city on Johto's western coast, home to Jasmine's Steel-type gym and the Olivine Lighthouse where Amphy the Ampharos keeps the ships safe.
Olivine is a working city. Fishing boats go out at dawn and come back at dusk. The Lighthouse at the north — with Amphy the Ampharos at the top — has guided ships safely past the Whirl Islands for over a century. Jasmine, the gym leader, is more often at the Lighthouse than at her gym, and the whole city knows it. The Cianwood ferry is the only way to reach Chuck's gym.
A small white-stone harbor city arranged around a wide blue bay. Cobbled streets running down to the docks. The tall white-and-grey Olivine Lighthouse at the north breakwater, visible from every rooftop in town. A ferry terminal with regular service to Cianwood. Smells of kelp, frying shrimp, and sea-wind.
