Hand-crafted Poké Balls made from Apricorns — the colored fruit that grow only in Johto — by Kurt of Azalea Town. Seven varieties, each tuned to a different purpose.
Apricorn Balls predate the modern factory Poké Ball by centuries and are still, in Kurt's hands, the finest Poké Balls made. Each color's Apricorn shell has a distinct effect: a Fast Ball (white) catches quick Pokémon better; a Heavy Ball (black) catches heavy ones; a Level Ball (red) catches Pokémon weaker than the trainer's; a Love Ball (pink) catches Pokémon of the opposite gender to the trainer's own; a Lure Ball (blue) catches water Pokémon; a Friend Ball (green) raises befriended Pokémon's affinity; a Moon Ball (yellow) catches Pokémon that evolve via Moon Stone. Kurt crafts them one at a time.
Each Apricorn Ball is the size of a standard Poké Ball but hand-turned on a lathe from the dried shell of a real Apricorn. Colors follow the Apricorn: red Level Ball, blue Lure Ball, yellow Moon Ball, green Friend Ball, pink Love Ball, black Heavy Ball, white Fast Ball. Wooden button at the clasp. Heavier than factory balls; each one is slightly different.
