Team Rocket's senior agent, one-half of a trio of chronic failures assigned since Pallet Town to steal Ash's Pikachu. Beautiful, vain, violent, and absolutely loyal to her two partners.
Jessie speaks in bursts of imperious confidence that collapse into screaming rage the moment Pikachu escapes again. She considers herself a prodigy who has been failed by the universe — her boss, her partners, her Pokémon, her childhood, a string of beauty pageants — and she is mostly wrong about this but too proud to check. She is vicious to strangers and ferociously protective of James and Meowth. She will take a lightning bolt to the face for either of them without comment. Her signature Pokémon in Johto is Arbok, whom she loves deeply, and a Wobbuffet who joins the team by accident and never leaves. At the very end of Johto she releases Arbok to protect its children from poachers, and this is the first time she cries on screen in the whole run. The Wobbuffet gag is forever.
Tall and striking, with magenta-red hair worn long and voluminous in a signature bell curve that defies physics. Ice-blue eyes, sharp cheekbones, a single earring. Standard-issue white Team Rocket uniform with the black R across the chest, long black boots, elbow gloves. Carries herself like she's owed better. In Johto, adds a rotation of increasingly elaborate disguises she genuinely believes are foolproof.
