The Voice of the Forest — a tiny green time-traveling Psychic/Grass Pokémon from Ilex Forest, whose fate in the Johto saga is the climax of the fourth Pokémon movie.
Celebi speaks only its own name, in a trilled, bell-like voice. It can move through time — forty years forward, forty years back — and when it does, the plants of Ilex Forest bloom out of season. It is the forest's protector and its memory. In the Celebi-focused movie, a boy named Sam (later to be Professor Oak) saves a wounded Celebi forty years before Ash. In the present, a Team Rocket executive called the Iron-Masked Marauder corrupts the same Celebi with a Dark Ball and nearly destroys the forest. Ash and Sam together — across time — save it. The forest survives. Celebi flies away.
Tiny fairy-like Pokémon, about a foot tall, pale mint-green with wide blue eyes, two small antennae, transparent insect wings, and a head almost as large as its rounded body. Floats rather than walks. Slight bioluminescent glow in forest shadow.
