The vast crater at the center of Paldea — the access point to the primal biosphere beneath the region, and the closest thing in the surface world to Terapagos's home.
Area Zero is unearthly. Standard Poké Ball signals fail at the middle elevations; the air gets heavier and stranger; trainers who go too deep start hearing voices or seeing things. The Explorers have exploratory camps on the upper ledges. The RVT have mapped the first three descent tiers. No one yet alive has mapped the bottom.
A miles-wide crater whose walls fall away in terraced cliffs to a mist-drowned jungle miles below. The deeper you descend, the more the vegetation stops resembling anything from the surface — crystalline flora, paradoxical prehistoric-looking Pokémon, air that hums with Tera-energy. At the very bottom, a cavern system leads toward something older still.
