Laquium was not meant to be weaponized. It is a natural substance from the paradise of Laqua, an echo of Terapagos's own power, and when handled respectfully it is inert and wondrous. The Explorers refined it into something that enrages wild Pokémon, causes surface Pokémon to mutate briefly, and extends human life. It is slowly killing Gibeon. Liko's pendant burns in its presence. It is the poison of the series.
A pink-and-green striated crystal, usually shard-shaped, that glows faintly when activated. In large doses it casts a sickly pink-green aura over any Pokémon within a rough radius. The Explorers fit it to their agents' gauntlets, to their ships' emitters, and — in Gibeon's case — directly to a biomechanical life-support rig sewn into his clothing.
