The airship crew at the heart of Horizons — Friede's hand-picked band of Pokémon researchers, mechanics, medics, cooks, and kids, investigating Liko's pendant while dodging the Explorers.
The RVT are not a company, not exactly a research lab, and not quite a found family either — though they are rapidly becoming that last one. They travel on the Brave Asagi airship, investigate mysteries related to Lucius's six Ancient Poké Balls and Liko's pendant, and intervene wherever Pokémon are being harmed. Their style is warm, chaotic, and infuriatingly earnest. They keep almost no secrets from each other, which is why Friede's silences, when they happen, land so hard. After the Laqua incident the crew broke apart for a year; by the start of the timeskip they are slowly rebuilding, with Roy now sharing command.
A mismatched crew in mismatched gear — Friede in his aviator bomber, Orla in oil-stained orange, Mollie in medic white, Murdock in his chef's apron, Dot in a hoodie she hasn't changed in a week, Ludlow in his fisherman's coat. The only uniform element is a small RVT patch — a lightning bolt over an open book — somewhere on everyone's sleeve.
