Ludlow is the ship's memory. He's older than anyone else aboard by decades, has been on the sea since Friede was in diapers, and tells long rambling stories that turn out to contain the one piece of information the crew needed. He speaks slowly, laughs easily, and has a secret: he is Mighty G, a retired masked superhero figure from the Olivine coast, and puts on the mask in emergencies when he thinks the kids aren't looking.
