Friede's mount and oldest partner — a battle-scarred Charizard who can Mega Evolve into Charizard X and serves as the Brave Asagi's fastest pursuit vehicle.

Charizard is a veteran. He flew with Friede through the entire RVT origin story, took the hits, and still answers the whistle. He is not kind to strangers and is openly skeptical of Roy's enthusiasm until Roy proves himself. He guards Friede with an obsessive focus that has, on at least one occasion, saved the professor's life from an Explorers ambush that left everyone assuming Friede was dead. As Mega Charizard X he is a close-range fighter who will bite.

Appearance

A large, orange Charizard with unusually dark, sooty scarring on his chest and wing undersides — evidence of hard fights. Wears no harness; Friede rides bareback. Eyes turn blue when Mega Evolved into Charizard X — slimmer, black-scaled, flame burning blue at the mouth.
