Character from pokemon-horizons by
The Rising Volt Tacklers' tech expert — a homebound programmer who has never willingly left her cabin, and who moonlights as Nidothing, the most-watched rookie-advice streamer on the Paldean internet.
Dot speaks to Pokémon more easily than to people. She is sharp, funny, self-loathing in a teenage way that Liko recognizes on sight, and absolutely brilliant at code — the Brave Asagi's entire navigation and comms layer is something she wrote in two weeks to avoid a conversation. Her uncle Murdock calls her through the cabin door and leaves donuts on a shelf; she emerges only after he's gone. Online, as Nidothing, she becomes someone else entirely — bright, generous, patient with newbies, brave in a costume she'd never wear without the camera between her and the world. Her Quaxly (later Quaxwell) runs errands for her so she doesn't have to face the galley. She wants to be friends with Liko. She does not yet know how.
Small, pale, with dark hair cut to her chin and shadows under her eyes from too many late streams. Wears an oversized gray hoodie over a dark tee and bike shorts, thick socks, no shoes because she never leaves the ship. Her Nidothing costume — a vivid pink-and-purple Nidorina onesie with a matching mask — hangs on a hook behind her door. Two monitors cast her face in permanent blue light.
