An island city in eastern Hoenn — home to the Mossdeep Space Center, Tate and Liza's Psychic-type Gym, and the only launch facility in the region capable of putting satellites into orbit.
Mossdeep is the sleepy spaceport. The Space Center launches weather and communications satellites for Hoenn, and the Mossdeep Observatory tracks every major meteor shower, including the Millennium Comet. The city's cultural identity is split between stargazing and sea-diving — everyone is either looking up or swimming down. Tate and Liza's family runs the Space Center as a civilian operation, and the twins often help with pre-launch ceremonies. During the Weather Trio crisis the Space Center's satellite telemetry is the primary way Hoenn's scientists track Groudon and Kyogre's movements. Team Magma attempted to launch a rocket from Mossdeep during one of their schemes, which Ash helped thwart.
A rocky, low-lying island city with pale-limestone architecture and turquoise roof tiles. The Space Center dominates the north coast — a white rocket gantry visible from miles at sea, with a circular observation deck at its peak. The gym is a stone dome with a zodiac-carved floor at the city's center. Palm-fringed beaches on every side.
