The eight-stone collection — polished gemstone badges awarded by Hoenn's Gym Leaders, required for entry to the Ever Grande Conference.

Hoenn's eight Gym Badges are the mandatory entrance requirement for the Ever Grande Conference, and the order of collection is flexible — most trainers take them in geographic sequence (Rustboro to Sootopolis) but the circuit is officially order-agnostic. Ash's Hoenn badge run is the fastest-clearing run he's done since Kanto; he picks them up in roughly the displayed order.

Appearance

Eight small metal-backed badges, each shaped as a polished stone of a different color: Stone Badge (gray), Knuckle Badge (orange fists), Dynamo Badge (yellow lightning), Heat Badge (red flame), Balance Badge (green yin-yang), Feather Badge (silver feather), Mind Badge (blue-and-red split circle), Rain Badge (teal water drop). Carried in a small foldable badge case.
