Contest Ribbons are the Coordinator equivalent of Gym Badges, and collecting five in any one region grants entry to that region's Grand Festival. Each ribbon is unique to its host city — Slateport's is turquoise with a dolphin motif, Rubello's is rose-red, Verdanturf's is green with a flower. Coordinators display their ribbons prominently, and most use the ribbon case as their professional identity marker. May collects her five Hoenn ribbons over the course of Advanced Generation and the Wisteria Ribbon is her most hard-won — she beat Harley clean to earn it.
Palm-sized silk ribbons in rosette form, each a different color and design reflecting the host city. Pinned to a Coordinator's ribbon case — a flat display case with slots for five. Ribbons are one-sided and earned one per Contest. Winners collect them across regions.
