He hosts the Wallace Cup, an invitation-only Contest exhibition that draws Coordinators from every region — May competes in it during her later Sinnoh detour and places Runner-Up to Dawn. His partner Milotic won him the Top Coordinator title. He is warm to everyone on camera and privately demanding of his Pokémon to a degree that would surprise casual fans. He mentored Lisia, his niece, from a young age. He respects Juan enormously and visits Sootopolis whenever his schedule allows. His Water-type mastery runs so deep that his Luvdisc can shape-carve heart patterns into rising waves.
