Character from pokemon-hoenn by
Salon Maiden of the Battle Tower — the youngest Frontier Brain, a quiet Psychic-type specialist who can mentally communicate with her Pokémon and who develops a genuine, unspoken crush on Ash.
Anabel is the only Frontier Brain Ash faces who tests him emotionally as well as tactically. She commands her Pokémon silently — she doesn't speak moves aloud, she sends them mentally, and her Alakazam and Espeon respond on cue. It's unnerving in a match. Ash's Pikachu has to fight in the dark without the familiar call-and-response pattern of Ash's voice, and that's the whole point of her test. She and Ash connect quickly — both are the same age, both are prodigies, both struggle with showing their feelings. When he wins the Ability Symbol she admits she's developed feelings for him, says she hopes to see him again someday, and then withdraws into her trademark quiet. Ash, obliviously, says he'd like that. It's one of the few canonical romantic beats in the series. She later reappears in Alola as an International Police officer.
A small, slender teenager with short shiny lilac-colored hair and large purple eyes. Wears a white sleeveless top under a pale purple jacket, black pants, white boots. Moves with unusual stillness — as if constantly listening to something the others can't hear. Never raises her voice.
