Ariana is the executive who coordinates defensive operations — she's the one sent when Team Rocket needs a position held rather than taken. She appears in both Mahogany Town and the Goldenrod Radio Tower, which means she's involved in both the Lake of Rage operation and the endgame push. Her devotion to Team Rocket is professional rather than fanatical. She believes in the organization as a structure, and her loyalty to Giovanni runs through it. She's not staging the Radio Tower broadcast out of love — she's doing it because Team Rocket's chain of command leads to Giovanni and he needs to be in it. When the executives disband after failure, she goes without drama. She did the job. The job didn't work. That's the calculation.
