Location from Pokémon Black & White by Nintendo / Game Freak
A walled town where no one goes outside at night — because the legends say something in the Giant Chasm comes to feed when the sun goes down.
Lacunosa Town is the most unsettling settlement in Unova. The wall isn't metaphorical. The curfew isn't optional. The people of Lacunosa built fortifications because something in the Giant Chasm — Kyurem — used to come at night and feed. On what? The legends are deliberately vague, which makes them worse. Even now, with Kyurem dormant, no one leaves after dark. The fear is generational, baked into the culture. It's a Pokémon game location that genuinely feels like horror — a community shaped by proximity to something that never stopped being dangerous.
Small town completely surrounded by a defensive wall. Gates close at nightfall. Houses are clustered tightly together, as if huddling for warmth. The wall is old but well-maintained — this isn't decoration, it's defense. The Giant Chasm is visible from the wall, a dark wound in the landscape.
