A massive impact crater where Kyurem lurks — the coldest place in Unova, where the broken god feeds on warmth and Lacunosa Town built walls to keep it out.
The Giant Chasm is where the original dragon fell — or where Kyurem crashed after the split. The crater is a wound in the landscape that never healed. The forest surrounding it is healthy, but the closer you get to the center, the more frozen everything becomes. The transition from green to ice is gradual and deeply unsettling. In BW2, Ghetsis brings the Plasma Frigate here and uses the DNA Splicers to fuse Kyurem with the captured dragon. The climax of BW2 happens in this frozen hellscape — appropriate for a story about a man who turns everything he touches to ice.
An enormous crater in the earth, surrounded by dense forest that gives way to frozen wasteland as you approach the center. The temperature drops dramatically with each step inward. Ice covers everything — trees, rocks, the ground itself. At the center, a cavern descends into absolute darkness and absolute cold. This is where Kyurem waits.
