DNA Splicers

Item from Pokémon Black & White by Nintendo / Game Freak

A device that forces Kyurem to absorb Reshiram or Zekrom — technology that turns reunion into violation, used by Ghetsis to forge a weapon from broken gods.

The DNA Splicers are the key to Kyurem's fusion forms — they force-merge the Boundary Pokémon with either Reshiram or Zekrom to create Black Kyurem or White Kyurem. The technology is ancient, created when the original dragon first split, as if someone anticipated the need to put it back together. Ghetsis obtains the Splicers in BW2 and uses them to fuse Kyurem — but the fusion isn't healing. It's violation. Kyurem doesn't become whole; it becomes a weapon with another dragon trapped inside it. The Splicers can force reunification, but they can't restore the original dragon's harmony. That would require the heroes to agree, and they never have.

Appearance

A small, intricate device that looks part-organic and part-technological — twisted helical structures that glow with an unsettling purple-red light. It feels wrong to hold, like something that shouldn't exist. The craftsmanship suggests ancient origin, but the energy suggests something more recent modified it.
