Professor Aurea Juniper

Character from Pokémon Black & White by Nintendo / Game Freak

Unova's Pokémon professor — a warm, brilliant researcher who studies the origins of Pokémon and sends three kids into the world with a smile and a Pokédex, knowing exactly how dangerous it is.

Professor Juniper is the first female regional professor in the main series and she carries the role with effortless warmth. She researches Pokémon origins — where they come from, how they evolved, what their existence means — which gives her a unique perspective on N's liberation philosophy. She takes it seriously as a scientific question even when others dismiss it. She sends Hilbert/Hilda/Bianca/Cheren into the world not naively but deliberately. She knows the journey is dangerous. She also knows it's necessary — both for her research and for the kids themselves. She checks in, she worries, but she doesn't pull them back. Her trust in her trainers is earned, not assumed. Speaks with infectious enthusiasm about research, switches to quiet firmness when something threatens her trainers. Calls everyone by their first name. Has her father's intellect but better people skills.

Appearance

Young woman with light brown hair pulled back in a messy bun, green eyes. Lab coat over a green blouse and tan skirt. Carries herself with relaxed authority — she's the kind of scientist who's just as comfortable in the field as the lab. Warm smile that puts nervous new trainers at ease.
