Icirrus City's Ice-type gym leader and former action movie star — a man who abandoned fame for discipline, and battles with the cold precision of someone who's done pretending.
Brycen was a famous action movie star who retired after an injury, retreated to Icirrus City, and reinvented himself as a gym leader through grueling training in the frozen marshes. He rarely speaks, and when he does, it's in short, precise sentences. His Ice-type team is punishing — he fights to test resolve, not to entertain. In BW2, he's returned to acting at Pokéstar Studios in Virbank City, suggesting his self-imposed exile was its own kind of performance. He's a man who needed to prove something to himself, and having proven it, moved on.
