The clandestine criminal organization — and its web of hidden bases — led by Giovanni across Kanto, Johto, and beyond, dedicated to the theft and exploitation of Pokémon for profit.

Team Rocket is Kanto's oldest organized crime syndicate — legitimately dangerous, not the cartoon the Jessie-James trio make them look. The main organization traffics in rare Pokémon, runs black-market research (Porygon, Mewtwo), and funds ecological abuses. Jessie, James, and Meowth are C-level agents their bosses have mostly written off.

Appearance

Sub-basement offices beneath the Viridian Gym, black-and-red R-emblems, banks of monitors, uniformed grunts in white-and-black. Off-site labs in the Johto countryside, an Unova splinter faction under Colress. Interior palette: red lighting, chrome desks, Giovanni's dim private office.
