Professor Oak's research compound on the hill above Pallet Town — part cutting-edge lab, part enormous ranch for every Pokémon every Pallet trainer has ever caught.

The lab is where new trainers receive their starter Pokémon — three per cohort, first come first served. The ranch behind it holds every Pokémon Ash has ever caught, sorted into habitats that Tracy Sketchit and Gary help tend. It hums with work and laughter.

Appearance

A white-and-blue dome building with satellite dishes on the roof and a windmill beside it, opening onto acres of grassland behind — the ranch where Ash's Tauros herd thunders past in formation. Inside the lab: computer banks, shelves of Pokéballs, stacks of index cards with Oak's terrible poems.
