Kalos introduced Mega Evolution and Pokémon Performances and very nearly introduced a region-ending weapon. The XY arc is among the anime's most dramatic — the Team Flare crisis, Greninja's Ash-Greninja form, Ash's first regional-league final run.

Appearance

Rolling wine country, cobblestone cities, a central tower (Lumiose's Prism Tower), Parfum Palace with its golden gates, the Kalos Power Plant with its wind-turbines over fields. Every townhouse has shuttered blue doors.
