Mallow's family restaurant on Akala Island — Alolan home cooking, Oranguru pranks, and the series' unofficial dining room.
Aina's Kitchen is run by Mallow's father Abe, with Mallow as the designated 'poster girl' and junior cook. It serves traditional Alolan home cooking — poké bowls, malasadas, lau lau, fresh fish from Lana's family. The Pokémon School class eats here constantly; Mallow's portions are famously enormous, especially for Ash. The restaurant has been in the family for two generations. Mallow's mother cooked here before her death. Her older brother Ulu left on a cooking journey from this kitchen years ago and hasn't returned. Abe keeps both their stations prepared, as if they might walk back in any evening. An Oranguru, an old friend of Abe's from his youth, occasionally stops by and is fed for free.
Warm, cluttered family restaurant with a long wooden counter, mismatched chairs, and open windows letting in hibiscus-scented breeze. Colorful hand-painted menu boards. Pot racks hanging from the ceiling. A kitchen open to the dining room where Abe cooks in view of the customers. Smell of roasting taro, pineapple, and fresh-baked malasadas. Always busy at mealtimes.
