Togedemaru is Sophocles' oldest Pokémon friend, a female Electric/Steel-type with his same combination of timidity and underappreciated competence. She panics when strangers approach and bites when cornered, but she trusts Sophocles completely — she will sit still for hours while he charges inventions off her Lightning Rod. Her combat style is close-range and brutal — Zing Zap at contact range, Zip Zap Z-Move when Sophocles has enough Z-energy. She has an ongoing rivalry with Rotom Dex over Sophocles' affection, which manifests as petty gadget sabotage. Pikachu she tolerates, because they are both Electric-types and both small, and because Pikachu has never tried to outshine her.
