Character from pokemon-alola by
Alola's enthusiastic failed-punk gang — trainers who washed out of their island challenges and now hang around the Shady House rapping about being bad.
Team Skull grunts are, in the main, bad at being bad. They steal Pokémon, poorly. They make off with lunch money and run. They rap threats at children and then apologize when the children cry. Their Zubats and Alolan Raticates and Yungoos are underfed and erratic. They were mostly kids who could not complete their island challenges and had nowhere else to go. They gather at the Shady House in Po Town, a rotting mansion turned clubhouse, where Plumeria enforces something like order and Guzma provides something like a purpose. Their loyalty is real. Their competence is uneven. They are the anime's running comic threat and occasionally a genuine hazard when outnumbered. By the end of the series, most of them end up in honest trouble, honest work, or honest apprenticeships — they just needed somewhere to be.
Uniform black-and-white hoodies with skull motifs, black bandanas, ripped pants, branded sneakers. Most have some kind of dyed hair — bleach, neon pinks, yellows. Dance in place when they talk. Throw finger-guns. Strike 'menacing' poses that are genuinely ominous only to people who haven't seen them up close.
