Character from pokemon-alola by
Alola's bargain-bin villain organization — a gang of failed trial-goers led by Guzma, headquartered in a rained-out ruin town, secretly bankrolled by Lusamine.
Team Skull is what happens when the island challenge system fails too many kids. Guzma founded it as a clubhouse for the trainers who washed out; Plumeria made it organized enough to function; Lusamine, through intermediaries, paid for it. The grunts do petty crimes — Pokémon theft, extortion, turf graffiti — and generally lose to anyone who stands up to them. During the Ultra Beast crisis, Team Skull's role was largely unwitting: Lusamine paid them to cause chaos, cover Aether's tracks, and test security. Guzma, pulled into Ultra Space alongside Lusamine, returned with a conscience and disbanded the organization. Plumeria supervised the dissolution. Most of the grunts eventually found honest work or apprenticeships. The name remains notorious. The team no longer exists.
Uniform black-and-white hoodies with skull-motif chest emblems, gold chains, bandanas, ripped jeans. Dance-heavy posturing. Logos spraypainted over every wall in Po Town. Most members have bleached or dyed hair. The team's public face is loud, graffiti-bright, cartoonish. Its private face is tired and sad.
