Tapu Lele is the kindest-looking of the Tapu and the most whimsical. It heals. It plays. It also meddles — it nudges trainers toward mistakes because it wants to see what they do next. It enjoys spectacle. Olivia, Akala's kahuna, has an actual working relationship with it. In combat it is slippery — Psychic attacks from angles its target cannot see, Fairy light that disorients. Its Pollen Puff can heal or harm on a whim. In the anime it has interceded more than once to kick events into motion, including during the Nihilego crisis.
Small butterfly-like spirit with pale pink body plating that folds around a glowing pink core. Long flowing 'hair' of pink-and-dark-pink filaments. Delicate, almost childlike in scale. Leaves floating pink pollen wherever it flies. Watches scenes unfold from ceiling corners rather than ground level.
