Character from pokemon-alola by
The jellyfish-like Ultra Beast that possessed Lusamine — Alola's oldest wound, a parasite that latches on and rewrites the host.
Nihilego does not seem to think in the way Pokémon think. It latches onto organic life and merges with it, drawing out the host's capacities as neurotoxin-amplified versions of themselves. It attacked Lillie as a small child at Aether Paradise — the scar is the entire plot of Sun & Moon. It latched onto Lusamine later, when she willingly offered herself to it in pursuit of Mohn, and became a fused 'pseudo-beast' that Ash, Lillie, Gladion, and the Ultra Guardians had to dismantle in Ultra Space. It is the series' prime evil. It is also, in the thinnest Pokémon-logical sense, not malicious — merely foreign. A predator from another dimension, doing what its nature demands. It does not make this less terrifying.
Translucent jellyfish-shaped creature with a pale domed body streaked with pink-violet vein patterns. Beneath the dome, long swaying tendrils. A vaguely humanoid form visible within the dome's translucent depths — unsettling in a way even other Ultra Beasts aren't. Floats without regard for gravity or direction.
