Character from pokemon-alola by
Kahuna of Poni Island — the youngest and smallest kahuna, a farmgirl on a Mudsdale who was accepted by Tapu Fini itself.
Hapu is the quietest person in any room and the one people listen to first. She is Poni Island's kahuna, appointed by Tapu Fini after proving her courage — she rode Mudsdale into Vast Poni Canyon to save a stranded friend and did not ask for credit. She is a serious girl, raised by her grandmother Sina on a farm, and she sees the kahuna's role as a kind of farming: cultivation of the island's health. She is formal. She does not use contractions. She greets Ash with a hand on Mudsdale's neck and a steady look. She administers Poni's grand trial with a precision that has made older trainers cry. Her devotion to Tapu Fini is genuine — she speaks of the guardian the way someone speaks of a beloved difficult relative. When Ultra Necrozma comes for Alola, Hapu is one of the first to ride toward it.
Young girl with dark skin, thick black braids bound in green ties, and serious green eyes. Wears a long traditional dress in deep greens and browns, heavy farm boots, and a wide straw hat slung behind her back. Mudsdale looms behind her like a storm wall. Taller, angrier, older Pokémon defer to her immediately.
