Viridian City sits at the threshold between civilization and the ancient Viridian Forest, whose mystical energies grant rare psychic powers to those born within it. Giovanni served as the secret Gym Leader here while running Team Rocket, and after his departure, Blue Oak took over the Gym. The city's proximity to the forest makes it a nexus of psychic energy — both Giovanni and Yellow inherited their healing and communication abilities from this place.
A medium-sized city at the edge of a dense, ancient forest. The Gym is a prominent stone building at the city's center. The forest casts long shadows over the western edge of town. Something about the air here feels alive.
