Location from Pokémon Adventures by Hidenori Kusaka & Satoshi Yamamoto
An underwater cavern deep beneath Hoenn's ocean — the resting place of both Groudon and Kyogre, and the site where Team Aqua and Team Magma awakened the ancient Pokémon.
The Seafloor Cavern is where Hoenn's apocalypse began. Deep beneath the ocean, Groudon and Kyogre slumbered in separate chambers until Team Magma and Team Aqua used the Red and Blue Orbs to awaken them. The cavern's location makes it nearly inaccessible — only trainers with deep-sea diving capability and powerful Water-type Pokémon can reach it. The simultaneous awakening of both ancient Pokémon from this cavern triggered the RS arc's existential crisis.
A vast underwater cavern system accessible only through deep-sea diving. Bioluminescent crystals light the tunnels. Two massive chambers house the sleeping forms of Groudon and Kyogre. The pressure and darkness are oppressive.
