Lavaridge Town exists because of its volcano — the hot springs that draw visitors and the geothermal energy that powers the town both come from Mt. Chimney's activity. Flannery's Fire-type Gym reflects this volcanic heritage. The town's proximity to Mt. Chimney made it strategically important during the RS arc.
