Indigo Plateau is the pinnacle of Kanto's competitive Pokémon world — the site where Red defeated Blue in the championship finals, where Professor Oak competed as Dr. O, and where the Elite Four once held their chambers. The Pokémon League tournament here draws trainers from across Kanto and Johto. The plateau's elevation and isolation make it both a prestigious destination and a naturally defensible position.
