Johto's most spiritual city — home to the Tin Tower (where Ho-Oh roosts), the burned remains of the Brass Tower, and Morty's Ghost-type Gym.
Ecruteak City is Johto's sacred heart — a city built around two legendary towers. The Tin Tower (also called the Bell Tower) is where Ho-Oh roosts, and the Burned Tower across from it once housed Lugia before a mysterious fire destroyed it. That fire also created the three legendary beasts — Entei, Raikou, and Suicune — from the three Pokémon who perished in the flames. Morty guards this spiritual heritage as Gym Leader, and the city's connection to legendary Pokémon makes it central to the GSC arc.
