Cinnabar Island is where Pokémon Adventures' darkest creation was born. The Team Rocket laboratory here is where Blaine, working as a Rocket scientist, created Mewtwo by fusing Mew's DNA with his own cells. The island's volcanic nature provides a fitting backdrop for Blaine's Fire-type Gym. After Mewtwo's escape, the abandoned lab became a haunted reminder of science pushed too far.
