The Master Ball is the most powerful Poké Ball ever created — a Silph Co. prototype that guarantees capture of any Pokémon regardless of species or power level. In the manga, Red used the Master Ball to capture Mewtwo in Cerulean Cave after Blaine sought his help to contain the clone. The Master Ball's existence makes it a target for every criminal organization in the manga — whoever controls it can capture legendary Pokémon without resistance.

Appearance

A purple Poké Ball with a white 'M' on the top half and pink circles. Larger and heavier than standard Poké Balls. Radiates a faint energy field.
