A gentle healer from Viridian Forest with psychic powers — she hid her gender to search for Red, and her empathy with Pokémon makes her the most powerful and most reluctant fighter among the Pokédex holders.
Yellow is an anomaly among the Pokédex holders — she hates fighting but possesses abilities that make her potentially the strongest of them all. Born in Viridian Forest, she inherited the forest's psychic gifts: healing wounds, reading Pokémon emotions and memories, limited telekinesis, and the ability to synchronize her spirit with her Pokémon to dramatically boost their power levels in emergencies. Professor Oak titled her 'The Healer.' She was sent to find Red after his disappearance, disguising herself as a boy on Blue's advice. She carried Red's Pikachu (Pika) throughout the Yellow arc, and her bond with Red is the emotional core of the story — though she's too shy to act on her feelings. She fought Lance at the climax of the Yellow arc, using her full power amplification to defeat him and prevent Lugia from destroying humanity. Her Pikachu Chuchu later paired with Pika, producing Pibu (Gold's Pichu).
Petite at 4'10" with blonde hair tucked under a straw hat to disguise her gender. Brown eyes, youthful face. Wears a yellow-orange oversized shirt and dark shorts. When her hat comes off, her long ponytail reveals she's a girl — a secret she guards fiercely throughout the Yellow arc.
