Winona commands Fortree City's Gym with the same grace she shows in aerial combat. Her Flying-type Pokémon dominate the skies, and she personally flies alongside them during battles. She has a romantic history with Wallace that adds personal tension to the RS arc's events. During the Groudon/Kyogre crisis, Winona coordinated aerial reconnaissance and defense alongside the other Hoenn Gym Leaders, using her sky-based perspective to monitor the legendary Pokémon's movements.
