Suicune is the most independent of the three legendary beasts — it chooses its own trainer through a rigorous testing process, evaluating potential partners across Johto. Crystal obsessively pursued Suicune, and her initial failure to capture it shattered her confidence as the 'Catcher.' But Suicune wasn't rejecting Crystal — it was testing her. After Crystal rebuilt her confidence and proved her dedication, Suicune chose to ally with her, fighting alongside the Pokédex holders against the Masked Man in the GSC arc's climax.
Elegant, quadrupedal Pokémon with a blue crystalline body, white diamond-shaped spots, and a flowing purple mane that resembles the northern aurora. Moves across water as if it weighs nothing.
