Steven Stone is the son of Devon Corporation's president and Hoenn's strongest trainer — a dual identity that gives him both resources and responsibility. His passion for rare stones led him to discover the Regi trio (Regirock, Regice, Registeel), ancient golems whose power he channels in his most desperate hour. During the RS arc, Steven worked alongside the Pokédex holders and Gym Leaders to contain the Groudon/Kyogre crisis. When all other options failed, he used his life force to awaken and control the three Regis, channeling their combined power to contain the legendary Pokémon. The effort killed him — his body turning to stone as his life force was drained. His sacrifice is one of the manga's most devastating moments, and Wallace's reluctant assumption of the Champion title honors his memory. Steven was later revived and appears in the ORAS arc.
Steel-grey hair, sharp blue eyes, wearing a tailored purple suit with a silver cravat. Carries polished stones and geological specimens. Elegant but grounded — more explorer than aristocrat.
