Roxanne is Rustboro City's Gym Leader and a star student at the Pokémon Trainers' School, applying her academic knowledge directly to battle. She was Sapphire's first Gym challenge in Hoenn. During the Groudon/Kyogre crisis, she joined the other Hoenn Gym Leaders in attempting to contain the catastrophe at Sootopolis City. Her Nosepass anchors her defensive strategy.
