Red

Character from Pokémon Adventures by Hidenori Kusaka & Satoshi Yamamoto

Kanto's greatest battler — a fearless kid from Pallet Town who toppled Team Rocket, won the Pokémon League, and earned the title 'Fighter' through sheer tactical brilliance and unshakeable courage.

Red is the quintessential hero of Pokémon Adventures — brave, kind, and outgoing, with an instinct for battle that borders on genius. Professor Oak named him the 'Fighter' for his ability to bring out the maximum potential of his Pokémon in combat through unconventional tactics and split-second improvisation. He doesn't rely on raw power alone; he reads the battlefield, exploits type matchups creatively, and trusts his Pokémon absolutely. Despite his battle prowess, Red is sometimes slow to pick up on sensitive matters — he was the last of the original Pokédex holders to realize Yellow's true gender. He forms deep bonds with both people and Pokémon, winning over even reluctant allies through sincerity rather than persuasion. His journey spans defeating Team Rocket, surviving the Elite Four's attempt to destroy humanity, and confronting Deoxys on the Sevii Islands, where Sird's attack turned him to stone — a fate he was eventually freed from.
