An extraterrestrial virus Pokémon that arrived on a meteor — two organisms wreaked havoc during the FRLG arc, with Organism No. 2 developing a blood-link to Red and eventually becoming Giovanni's weapon.

Deoxys in the manga consists of two organisms — both created when viruses in space were mutated by cosmic radiation on a meteor. Organism No. 1 attacked Red and Blue in Pallet Town and kidnapped Green's parents. Organism No. 2 absorbed Red's blood, creating a psychic link between them. Giovanni captured Organism No. 2 on Birth Island and used it as his primary weapon, its forme-shifting ability making it incredibly versatile in combat. The FRLG arc climaxes with Red's Mewtwo battling Giovanni's Deoxys in a clash between the manga's two most powerful artificial Pokémon.

Appearance

Alien, crystalline body in orange and teal with tentacle-like arms. Shifts between Normal, Attack, Defense, and Speed formes — each dramatically altering its body shape. Core crystal in its chest pulses with energy.
