Mortar broke both her arms, she trained herself to catch Pokémon by kicking Poké Balls with her feet — turning a disability into a signature technique that rivals any thrown ball in accuracy. Professor Oak recognized her unique talent and gave her a Pokédex with a specialized tracking system, naming her the 'Catcher.' Her obsession with completing the Pokédex drives her across Johto, and her failure to capture Suicune shattered her confidence until she relearned her purpose. She's organized, serious, and methodical — the counterbalance to Gold's chaos. Her mother insists all her Pokémon have nicknames ending in '-ee.' Crystal works as Professor Oak's primary field assistant, and her catching skills proved essential during the Emerald arc at the Battle Frontier.

Appearance

Dark indigo hair in twin pigtails with a large crystal star hair clip, blue eyes. Wears a white lab coat-style jacket over a red top and yellow shorts. Her most distinctive feature is her kicking stance — she launches Poké Balls with precise, powerful kicks rather than throws.
